We believe culture is the subtle yet decisive force that silently directs how people live and work together.
A healthy culture emerges from a set of assumptions, values, behaviors, and artifacts, all built around a collective understanding of what needs to be achieved. By enhancing the cultural environment in which families form and grow, we strive to make a flourishing family life more achievable, sustainable, and celebrated in mainstream American popular consciousness.
Unfortunately, American families face serious headwinds. High divorce rates fracture families emotionally and financially. Rising costs of housing, childcare, and education discourage family growth. Cultural fragmentation from media and consumer culture often undermines family values. And declining marriage and birth rates reflect deep-seated economic and cultural pessimism. When families unravel, children lose stability, economic mobility stalls, and isolation intensifies as birth rates fall and populations age.
We can and must reverse this trajectory. By resetting the cultural context for families—resolving conflict, improving daily economic conditions, and celebrating achievements—we can spark a renaissance where a flourishing family life becomes the norm, not the exception.
In response to these challenges and opportunities, Family Resolve will become a decisive force for making the system work for families—instead of the other way around. Our battle plan is centered on four main objectives. Each one is anchored by a core challenge and opportunity to boldly transform American family life where others shy away.
Reduce the harm caused by family dissolution.
Provide practical resources to ease economic burdens.
Facilitate deeper, richer family interactions.
Spark optimism and commitment to family expansion.
